HOW DOES THE APPOINTMENT GO?

After we check you in at Obsidian, we'll take you to one of our treatment rooms. Your first appointment will be an initial consultation in which we'll gather information about you and determine if you are a good candidate. We will discuss your aesthetic goals and examine your skin paying close attention to the unwanted fat beneath your chin. We may determine that a different treatment is better suited to your needs, such as plastic surgery. After your consult, and we determine Kybella is a good fit, we will cleanse and numb your skin and then carefully place small injections where we think will give you the best results. Your appointment should only last 30-45 minutes.

WHAT DOES RECOVERY LOOK LIKE?

Recovery from this treatment takes between 2 to 3 weeks. During this time, you can expect temporary swelling or bruising at the treatment area which will resolve itself in the days following your treatment.

During your recovery, you can take part in most of your normal daily activities, such as going to work. We schedule a follow-up appointment about 4 weeks after your treatment to determine your progress with the Kybella treatment.
